ASUS Launches AI-Powered Vivobook 14 and 15 in India with Intel Core 7 Series 3

ASUS Launches AI-Powered Vivobook 14 and 15 in India with Intel Core 7 Series 3

ASUS has officially launched the Vivobook 14 (X1404MA) and Vivobook 15 (X1504MA) in India, bringing Intel's latest Core 7 Series 3 processors to the mainstream AI PC market. Designed for everyday productivity, these thin-and-light laptops integrate a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of 17 TOPS to handle on-device AI workloads efficiently.

Both models are built to meet US MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards while maintaining a sleek profile. They feature a 180-degree lay-flat hinge, TÜV Rheinland eye-care certified Full HD IPS displays with an 84% screen-to-body ratio, and an integrated fingerprint sensor on the ErgoSense touchpad for password-free sign-ins.

Technology should make everyday life simpler, smarter and more intuitive. With the new Vivobook 14 and Vivobook 15, we’ve focused on delivering AI-powered experiences, dependable performance, enhanced privacy for everyday communication and a lightweight yet durable design.

Pricing, Availability, and Bundled Software

The ASUS Vivobook 15 (X1504MA) is available immediately, starting at Rs. 75,990. It can be purchased through ASUS Exclusive Stores, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, ASUS eShop, Amazon.in, Flipkart, and authorized retail partners. The smaller Vivobook 14 (X1404MA) starts at a significantly higher Rs. 1,07,990 and will be available starting July 26 through ASUS Exclusive Stores, the ASUS eShop, and authorized partners.

Both laptops come bundled with lifetime access to Microsoft Office Home 2024, which includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, alongside 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage valid for one year. For offline buyers, ASUS is offering No Cost EMI options starting at Rs. 5,066 per month for the Vivobook 15 and Rs. 7,199 per month for the Vivobook 14.

The Entry-Level AI PC Reality Check

The pricing strategy for this launch is highly unusual. Typically, 15-inch models carry a slight premium over their 14-inch counterparts, but ASUS has inverted this entirely. The Vivobook 14 costs nearly Rs. 32,000 more than the 15-inch model. This massive gap suggests the 14-inch base model likely ships with a higher-tier display (such as the optional touchscreen mentioned in the specs) or maxed-out memory configurations by default, whereas the 15-inch hits a more aggressive entry-level price point.

Furthermore, while ASUS is heavily marketing these as AI PCs, consumers should manage their expectations. The Intel Core 7 Series 3 NPU maxes out at 17 TOPS. This is sufficient for basic background blurring in video calls and light local AI tasks, but it falls well short of Microsoft's strict 40 TOPS requirement for the Copilot+ PC designation. Buyers looking for advanced, system-wide generative AI features will need to look toward higher-tier Snapdragon X or upcoming Intel Lunar Lake machines.
