Asus is breathing new life into its ChromeOS lineup by bundling the Asus Chromebook CX15 with a premium artificial intelligence package. The newly refreshed CX1505CTA configuration now includes a three-month Google AI Pro membership, granting users access to Gemini Advanced and a massive 5 TB of Google One cloud storage right out of the box.
While the exterior design remains unchanged from its initial launch over a year ago, the internal value proposition has shifted. The laptop is powered by an Intel N50 processor, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5 memory and 128 GB of eMMC storage. It features a 15.6-inch Full HD (1,920 × 1,080) NanoEdge display. The screen offers an anti-glare finish, 300 nits of peak brightness, and an 87% screen-to-body ratio, making it highly capable for everyday productivity and media consumption.
Built for everyday wear and tear, the Chromebook CX15 carries a US MIL-STD-810H durability certification. Security is handled by the integrated Titan C security chip, alongside a physical webcam privacy shutter for peace of mind. It runs standard ChromeOS, ensuring seamless access to Android apps via the Google Play Store and continuous automatic software updates.
Connectivity options are robust for a budget-friendly device. The system supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Port selection includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports - both supporting DisplayPort and Power Delivery - one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, an HDMI 1.4 output, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a Kensington lock slot. Asus rates the 42 Wh battery to deliver up to 12.5 hours of usage on a single charge. The device weighs 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg) and comes in a Pure Grey finish.
Currently, the Asus Chromebook CX15 (model CX1505CTA-S70293) is priced at ₹47,990 (approximately $500) in India. It is available directly through the Asus eShop and other authorized retailers. Asus has not yet confirmed release plans for other international markets.
