WatchMaker Live Wallpaper turns 150,000+ watch faces into Android wallpapers

Featured on Giveaway of the Day on October 24, 2026, WatchMaker Live Wallpaper lets Android users turn more than 150,000 watch faces into animated home screen wallpapers without needing a smartwatch. According to the listing for developer androidslide's app, users who do own a smartwatch can also pair matching themes across both devices. Each wallpaper displays real-time data and motion directly on the phone's home screen.

The built-in gallery offers hundreds of live wallpapers built by WatchMaker designers, organized into Trending, Charts, and New sections that update daily. Users can test one wallpaper for free without a subscription.

To apply a design, open the app, select a wallpaper, and tap Set wallpaper.

Beyond pre-made options, users can build custom designs by combining any watch face from the WatchMaker collection with ready-made scenes, personal photos, or videos. The editor allows dragging, pinching, rotating, and stretching the watch face to fit an image, alongside several visual tools:

• Scenes: Embeds the chosen watch face inside a realistic watch within a photograph.
• 3D Watch: Places a 3D watch with customizable strap colors that reacts as the phone tilts.
• Motion: Sets the watch and foreground elements to float, sway, orbit, or tilt.
• Parallax: Uses device tilt so the watch appears to float above the background layer.
• Shadow & Glint: Generates shadows and glass reflections that shift with movement.
• Foreground: Places a transparent PNG layer over the watch.
• Look: Adjusts brightness, contrast, and inner shadows to blend the face into the background scene.

Inside the app's Studio section, creators can save unfinished projects as drafts, publish finished designs to the gallery, and share them via a link. The studio also supports importing and exporting.wallpaper files, as well as importing.watch files from WatchMaker.

According to the app description, the live faces function like smartwatch faces and can display weather, moon phases, calendar events, battery levels, step counts, and more:

• Support for up to 3 custom time zones.
• Smooth, sweeping second hands.
• Tasker integration for showing custom Tasker variables on the wallpaper.
• Low battery consumption, as wallpapers only render when the home screen is visible.

An Unlimited Live Wallpapers subscription unlocks full access to all gallery items and custom designs, with monthly and yearly plans that can be canceled anytime through the Google Play Store. Users with questions or ideas can visit the official WatchMaker website.

The app only asks for device permissions when a user selects a watch face that requires them, and the listing outlines the following:

• Location: Supplies local weather data for compatible watch faces.
• Calendar: Shows upcoming user events on supported watch faces.
• Developer: androidslide.
• Category: Personalization.
• Version: 6.0.1.
• Rated: Everyone.
