Both social networks were fully restored by Monday morning, with the total downtime estimated between one and several hours. There is no evidence that WhatsApp or Threads were impacted by this specific server failure. This incident was relatively minor compared to the massive outage in June, which generated between 110,000 and 130,000 reports, lasted four hours, and took down both Messenger and Business Suite before prompting an acknowledgment from Meta communications director Andy Stone.
